Travel

The city of Manchester is in the north west of England, just over 200 miles north of London. It is well served by road and rail links, and is within an easy distance Manchester Airport.

The Lowry is easy to reach being just a 10 minute drive from Manchester City Centre, 20 minutes from Manchester Airport, and a quarter of a mile from the motorway network.

By car

From the M60 take junction 12 for the M602. The Quays is a quarter of a mile from junction 3 of the M602. Simply follow the brown Lowry logo signs.

Parking

There are car parking facilities at the Lowry Outlet Mall – www.lowryoutlet.co.uk/car-parking/ and parking tickets can be bought in advance from The Lowry box office 0843 208 6000.

Metrolink

The Lowry is easily accessible via two of Manchester’s Metrolink tram lines, the Eccles line, and the Media City UK line – travelling from Manchester City Centre, the Metrolink takes approximately ten to fifteen minutes.

From the Eccles tram, alight at Harbour City stop – The Lowry is approximately a 10 minute walk from this stop.

From the MediacityUK tram, alight at MediacityUK stop – The Lowry is approximately a 5 minute walk from this stop.

By Train

Regular Transpennine and Northern Rail trains travel into Manchester. If you are exiting the train at Oxford Road station, walk up Oxford Road towards Deansgate, where you can board the Metrolink. If you are exiting the train at Manchester Piccadilly or Victoria Station, there will be clearly signposted Metrolink stations nearby.

By air

The airport closest to The Lowry is Manchester, into which there are flights from all over Europe. From there, train services run frequently 7 days a week through national train operators ‘TransPennine Express’ and ‘Northern Rail’. Trains run every 10 minutes to or from Manchester Piccadilly, with an average journey time of 20 minutes.
